We don’t normally publish news posts about Apple sending out RSVPs for product launch events, but this one should be especially interesting. This morning Apple has sent notice that they’re holding an event next Tuesday dubbed “One more thing.” In traditional Apple fashion, the announcement doesn’t contain any detailed information about the content expected; but as Apple has already announced their updated iPads and iPhones, the only thing left on Apple’s list for the year is Macs. At CES 2020, Intel showcased its Tiger Lake hardware with an interesting 'Horseshoe Bend' 17-inch foldable laptop. Fast forward two years and ASUS has taken the concept and run with it to create what it says is the "World's first 17.3" foldable OLED laptop. As things slowly get back to normal, Apple's annual World Wide Developers Conference is taking virtual place this week in its traditional early-June slot. During the MWC 2022 trade show in Barcelona, Lenovo unveiled the first laptop powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chip, the ThinkPad X13s. Along with their server part announcements today, NVIDIA is also using the backdrop of GTC to do a wholesale update of their professional visualization product stack. As part of this week’s Microsoft Ignite developers conference, Microsoft’s DirectX team has published a few blog posts offering updates on the state of various game development-related projects.
